The parts have arrived

As I promised, I ordered the parts last week end.  Some of the parts have come. So far one fan, the rad, coolant, thermal paste, and barbs.  The tubing, water block, and hose clamps are scheduled to arrive on Monday.  The other fan has not come yet and it is still unknown when it will arrive.  I ordered it from Amazon and the first come came with other products that people in my family have ordered from Amazon.  I also changed the rad from my last blog.  I was originally using a thin swiftech rad.  But after a couple hours of measurement I concluded that it would be possible to use a thicker rad if I mounted the fans off of the case instead of the rad.  The new rad is 40mm thick and should provide better performance.  The new rad is a 240mm black ice extreme 2.

As you can see I have chosen Bifenix spectre pro pwn fans.  These were important Because I need to the fans to have good static pressure, match the color scheme, and have a reasonable price.  The bitfenix spectre pro's fit all of those requirements.  If I had one complaint it would be that the sides of the fans are grey as you can see in the picture above.  while most of the fan is white, matching the overall color scheme, the sides are grey.  This is disappointing because the sides will be most visible and the fans are labeled as white not grey.  
Some of you may also have notices that the inner diameter of the tubing is less than the barbs.  while this is not normally recommended the smaller tubing will create a tight seal and prevent any leaks.
