20% project

This week I am now finished picking all the parts for the cooler.  I used corsair's h100i for inspiration.  I wanted to achieve a similar experience but allow for greater customization.  The only problem with this was that the only reasonable water block I could find was very bulky.  As I have previously mentioned I am using the Coolermaster esburg as the water block.  this water block works well but it has a res integrated.  This is unnecessary because the radiator already has an integrated res and only adds more bulk.  Other than that I am very pleased with all the parts I have chosen and hope to begin ordering them soon.

20% project

first of all I am ahead of schedule.  I am ready to begin buying parts parts for the project.  I have even exceed my expectations for fund raising.  Because one of the major selling points of this product is its aesthetics I think it is necessary to show it off in a beautiful computer.  to do this I plan to purchase sleeved cable extensions that mach the color scheme of my computer.  I will also try to make sure all the components are color coordinated.  as you can see above almost all of my components have a white and blue color scheme, which I think is one of the best color schemes due to its clean appearance. But as you can also see, I have a bright red video card.  this clearly detracts from the computer.  I originally did not plan to change this as it would have a GPU water block wil blue LED's.  but since I have changed the plan it remains a problem.  I plan to fix the problem with an easy mod.  I will remove the shroud and paint it white with a blue accent.

20% project

This week I have spent more time on the eBay selling.  I have decided to not sell the motherboard.  I have been receiving offers for it but I am worried that the it is close to the end of it's life.  In order to maintain my reputation as a trusted eBay seller I will not be selling the motherboard pictured above.  But I feel that it is not necessary to sell this motherboard. I have already exceeded the money required to start the project.  Just this week all the funds have been received.
Many people requested that I test the cooler against what I have now.  in the picture above is the cooler included with any current Intel CPU.  I will be comparing the cooler against that as well as a Coolermaster hyper 520N  or maybe a hyper 212 plus.  I have also decided that I will be using Swiftech coolant.

20% project

This week I spent most of my time working on the business aspect of the project.  I created the logo above using gimp, a free Photoshop application.  I have also created a name for the company.  I plan to call it Cool Innovations because it sells coolers.  As I mentioned last week I am selling a video card.  The sale of the video card was final earlier this week.  I have also been working on a website for the company.  I am using Squarespace  for the website, it has everything I need and is really easy to use.  I chose my dad to be my mentor.  He does not have much experience  with computer cooling but he can teach me a lot on the business aspect of the project.  He has started many successful small businesses.  I am ahead of schedule and am confident that the project will go smoothly.
